| I really don't think that this debate could go on forever. After about 10 hours of study, I could go thru the Ethanol tester's issues one by one, and I'm sure you could also. US ethanol production is subsidised to the tune of 4.5 billion a year. Gas is basically subsidised by a 1000 billion dollar war (to date). Fighting for gas could go on forever. Jump starting the ethanol industry with subsidies should take America less time and money than Brazil subsidised it's ethanol industry. China is in the middle of developing their ethanol industry, and Japan is investing in ethanol in Brazil.
